GE Works Centre 2012 Olympics

Creative Direction // Experience Design // Art Direction

GE chose the landmarked German Gymnasium as their pavilion at the London 2012 Olympics. Located in King’s Cross, the GE Works Centre served as an immersive environment hosting special events, presentations, game viewings, executive meetings and also included an interactive product gallery highlighting GE’s latest technologies. The development of a brand identity and guidelines for the program was key. These standards were then applied to all the collateral materials, environmental signage, motion and interactive content on screens as well as the design of the space. Some of the design elements of the space include a high definition LED mesh on the building’s exterior, scaled models of machines, multi-touch surfaces, a holographic projection, custom furnishings, exhibition displays and walls, a reception, a cafe/bar, lighting, and sound.
